Google (Search) Sucks - A Rant

Google really sucks as a company. They're not the only one but I believe the quality of their services and products are most pronounced since the Internet relies so heavily on the company. It didn't start with AI, it started with greed. But AI sure did lure the greedy money lovers like a siren to lost sailors.
No other product is as bad as Search... Or maybe it's because of how popular the product is, either way it's gotten so so much worse. Want human generated responses to your search queries? Nahhh you want AI generated summaries! Summaries that aren't even good!
Oh nevermind, you wanted 4 promoted links! Or maybe you want shopping options, or videos from Tiktok and YouTube, or maybe even images! If I wanted videos I'll click the fucking video tab. If I wanted shopping options I'll click the shopping tab. WHY ARE YOU GIVING ME AI GENERATED SUMMARIES FOR EVERYTHING?!
I'm really tired of the Internet right now... Clickbaity articles were one thing, but there are blogs now that are completely AI generated. Maybe I'll complain about that next. But right now I'll focus on Google again.
I'll open a PDF in Drive and Google will push an AI generated summary of it. If I want I'll seek it out on my own accord. YouTube is filled with these stupid video game slop and Shorts. Chrome is becoming more bloated by the day. I don't use all these services actively but some of these services are built into my workflow because of how much I used them years ago.
For Drive I've switched to self hosted Nextcloud. For YouTube... yeah I haven't even tried switching on that one. I've switched to DuckDuckGo and Ecosia to replace Search. I plan on switching to others soon but time isn't infinite. Meanwhile I have to put up with bloated software...
