Two Days Without Internet

I had class on Thursday, per usual, but when I'm halfway to the campus I receive a message from my sister. She said the internet was out, not out of the usual. Our ISP is unfortunately one that experiences outages often, but it wasn't our ISP. Instead it was the coaxial, WAN cable, router, & modem. All four broke around the same time. There were an exposed part of the inner coaxial exposed to outside interference, our WAN cable wasn't sending a signal. Our router was pretty outdated, it only supported up to WiFi 5. Our modem was just aging, same model as our new one.
We experienced nearly two days without internet. A few weeks before my Finals... Fun! It did gain a new perspective on things though. We often take things for granted. Clean water, heating, internet, food, water, etc. But when we no longer have one of those things, our life can be halted.
Most people on this planet do not have a reliable access to at least one of those. While we live ourselves with so much privilege.
Thankfully everything is fine now, I can do my school work and work on my projects.
