What A Cesspool

Reading about the history of the internet, WWW, and telecommunications excites and helps me understand the technology that I work with. But it also depresses me. These innovative forms of technology has rotten our society.
The internet used to be the wild west, and has since become a cesspool. Where we go to scream at each other, spread hate, argue with strangers, and take time out of our day to do the utterly least productive activities with our time. The internet was used to exchange useful information and easily connect to others.
Instead of continuing this we decided that rotting our brains and sometimes destroying lives with it. It's an utter disappointment. It's the reason that I love Bear, it's the opposite of that.
